K Blink Mounted on K98 Bayonet Field Test (March 2024)

Hardly wait to try to mount the K Blink to my period bayonets and use it as a ground spike outside my yard.
Initially the K Blink spike was designed to fits the WWI M1898/05 bayonet, but I dare not to stick my saw back 98/05 into the soil. I have two M1884/98 K98 bayonets, so try the restored one.
The spike blade is 130mm (67mm from stopper screw to tip) in length x 11mm width x 4mm thick, which fits perfectly to the mortise slot at the pommel of the bayonet.
There is a cut at one side of the spike blade which fits for locking hook of the press stud.
However the attachment slots of my bayonets are quiet rusty as no rifles to fix, quiet difficult to pull out at the first trial, but sliding smoothly after fully cleaned.
The test proofed that the standard issued bayonet is fits for lower profile than the tripod and provide an alternative tool for the Soldaten when in action.
