Handling
25.) When setting up the flashing lamp for the opposite flashing point, the following must be observed:
“The center of the filament image visible in the triple strip is directed at the opposite flashing point.
(Due to reflections within the glass ball of the bulb, more than one filament image will usually be visible in the triple strip, but one of these will stand out particularly sharply. This phenomenon is irrelevant for the setting if care is taken to ensure that the center of the most sharply visible filament image is directed towards the opposite flashing point.)”
a) Assembling and disassembling the device without using the frame (for operation lying down).
26.) Open the device container. Remove the flashing lamp (not by the cable), close the container again. Insert the double plug into the socket of the device container. Clamp the ground spike with the tip pointing downwards, look at the flashing lamp in the ground in front of the operator’s face with the ground spike.
If there is no visibility due to overgrown ground, look at a bayonet with the ground spike (Fig. 7).xLoosen the clamping screw on the lamp base for vertical and horizontal adjustment until the lamp housing can be moved easily. Switch on the light by pressing the button on the push button (switch on the permanent light latch if necessary) and adjust the device to the opposite flashing point using the triple strip. (Align the center of the filament image that is shown most sharply in the triple strip to the opposite flashing point.) After adjustment, moderately tighten the clamping screw on the lamp base. (Tightening the clamping screw too tightly causes the flashing lamp to shift slightly out of alignment.)
27.) Open the squirrel cover as far as is necessary for a secure flashing connection.
28.) Dismantling is carried out in the reverse order to assembly. Make sure that the clamping screws on the lamp base are loosened until it can be packed into the device container without hindrance.
