The switchboard was sitting in a corner for weeks, until received the parts for restoring, even don’t know how to restore, its nothing to lose, either a display unit or a functional unit, took me three hours out of my production schedule.
All it needed is a 1-10 number bar, three electromagnetic units, two flapping doors, sink head screws and other screws for here and there.
Never open the unit before, after removed the wooden outer box, the only way is to unscrew the front screws to loosen the layers.
Its an engineering marvel from 1933, cleverly tight packing wires and mechanical parts, better than the post war modern one, as plastic was main cause for bad performance and breakdowns.
