Dfh.a Under Helmet Headset–27 September 2021
Found this beauty on a FB sale but too late as sold to other. My friend loan me a brand-new pair but without cable from his collection.
It is from the German Frankfurt 42 landmine detector set, but interesting to see the Dfh.a been adopted for this set, it is actually a 75 cm long leather hardness with two metal square sliding brackets, the Dfh.a earpieces are attached to the bracket by its earpiece and housing screwing tight onto the bracket.
The leather hardness is too short to me as I am 6 feet 200lb and my helmet size is 58/66, the soldaten back then was far smaller and shorter than modern men size.
Apart from the mine detector, it can be us as under helmet headset, as it is a pair of Dfh.a earpiece with two prong 4+4 plug.
Working on the replica Dfh.a with normal spring headband, why not mount it on the leather hardness for more choice, but the chin strap must be far longer than 11.5cm from first hole, better extends to 30cm from first hole.
